Practical travel guides
Places to explore in Benxi

Wunü Mountain
五女山
Wunü Mountain features mountain-city ruins, forests and views of lakes and hills. Site displays and the museum help explain the historic mountain settlement. Balance the physical effort of climbing with cultural exploration rather than treating it only as a photography viewpoint. Reference photographs mainly show the summit, Tianchi and autumn woods, not the full museum collection.

Benxi Water Cave
本溪水洞
Benxi Water Cave centers on karst caves and an underground river. Open interior routes reveal stalactites and waterways. Boat operations, accessible areas and associated exhibition venues need separate confirmation. Reference images show cave lighting and karst formations. Colors are influenced by artificial lighting and photography and should not be treated as the rock’s natural colors.
