Cookie policy

China Travel Kit does not use third-party advertising cookies and has not installed cross-site behavioural profiling tools. We use a small number of first-party cookies and browser-storage entries to maintain sign-in, language, interface preferences, saved items and checklist state.

• ctk_traveller_session: an HTTP-only sign-in session, normally lasting no more than 30 days.
• Temporary Google sign-in cookies: OAuth state, PKCE verification and return path, normally removed after the callback or about 10 minutes.
• ctk_locale: remembers the chosen language. The admin area uses a separate secure session cookie available only to administrators.

• ctk-theme stores the light, dark or system theme choice.
• ctk-saved-items stores items you actively save before or without account sync.
• The before-you-go checklist stores items you actively mark complete.
• A session-storage marker prevents the same commercial impression being counted repeatedly in one tab and is normally cleared when the tab closes.

We do not allow a partner to set its cookies on this site before you follow a labelled affiliate link. Once you enter a partner site, it may use attribution or functional cookies under its own policy. Review and manage those choices on that site.

• You can delete or block cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage in your browser.
• Blocking essential cookies will break sign-in, Google sign-in or language preferences. Clearing local storage removes device-only saves, theme and checklist progress.
• Because we currently use no optional advertising or cross-site analytics cookies, we do not show an accept/reject banner. If that changes, we will add appropriate consent controls before deployment and update this policy.
