Places to explore in Kashgar

Pamir Tourist Area
帕米尔旅游区
Pamir Tourist Area centers on Stone City, Golden Grassland and nearby areas in Taxkorgan County, offering ancient ruins and highland river-valley scenery. The entire Pamir Plateau and every lake or roadside view along the way should not be counted as one 5A scenic area. These reference photographs show Stone City’s ruins and surrounding views. Paths and accessible areas in historical images may differ from current conditions.

Jinhuyang
金湖杨
Jinhuyang lies in the Yarkand River oasis in Zepu County, where water, Euphrates poplar woodland and Gobi landscapes meet. Observing trees and reflections from open paths suits ordinary visits better than venturing deep into woodland. Reference photographs focus on autumn waterside poplars, not year-round leaf colors or all cultural and performance activities in the scenic area.

Kashgar Old City
喀什古城
Kashgar Old City comprises interconnected lanes, courtyards and spaces for commerce and daily life. Explore open streets to discover local crafts, food and architecture. This is also residents’ real living environment; courtyards and people are not exhibits that may automatically be photographed. Reference images include exterior views of Id Kah Square, streets and craft objects. Rules for entering religious sites need separate confirmation.
