Lu’an
Lu’an’s landscape attractions are spread across several counties. Tiantangzhai in the Dabie Mountains should not be planned as part of the same area as other lake attractions. If Tiantangzhai in Jinzhai is your focus, allow a full day for mountain sightseeing and calculate return travel and time in the urban area separately.

Arrive and settle in Lu’an
Start with arrival and where to stay, then choose your sights. Recheck transport and accommodation details before booking.
The actual destination matters more than the city name+
Choose an arrival station for your actual destination, such as Jinzhai, Shucheng or central Lu’an, then confirm transport to the scenic area. Counties can be far apart; do not estimate travel time merely because places are within Lu’an’s administrative area.
Stay near the area you will visit that day+
For Tiantangzhai, consider accommodation towards Jinzhai or near the scenic area. Check evening arrival arrangements, dining and return transport before choosing. Repeated daily trips from the city deep into the mountains are not recommended.

Places to explore in Lu’an

Wanfo Lake Scenic Area
万佛湖风景区
Wanfo Lake centers on lake waters, islands and surrounding hills, with visitor themes connected to water conservancy and local culture. Choose shoreside walks or boat trips according to the day’s opening arrangements and observe layers of shore, islands and distant mountains. Different boat routes and island visits are not necessarily included in one ticket. Reference photographs cover lake views, piers and shoreside facilities.

Tiantangzhai Tourism Area (Anhui)
天堂寨旅游景区(安徽)
Anhui’s Tiantangzhai lies in the Dabie Mountains, combining peaks, forest, canyons and waterfalls. Choose mountain trails and viewpoints according to your fitness; clouds and mist may obscure scenery as weather changes. This page refers to the Tiantangzhai Tourism Area in Lu’an listed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, not the entrances, tickets or routes on the Hubei side.
