扎什伦布寺

Founded in the fifteenth century, Tashilhunpo is the traditional seat of the Panchen Lamas and a living Gelug monastic complex of halls, stupas and study courtyards. Its worship and monastic routines take priority over visitor circulation.

萨迦寺

Sakya's fortress-like southern monastery preserves architecture, murals, sculpture and major textual collections tied to the Sakya tradition. It is far from central Shigatse and must be approached as both protected heritage and active worship space.

白居寺与十万佛塔

Pelkor Chode and the multi-storey Kumbum bring several Tibetan Buddhist traditions, chapels, murals and sculpture into one historic complex. Narrow stairs and sensitive interiors require controlled movement and strict photography restraint.

江孜宗山古堡

The hill fortress dominates Gyantse and interprets local administration and the 1904 conflict through a dramatic defensive site. Its steep stairs, exposed terraces and memorial narrative deserve time beyond panoramic photographs.

珠峰北坡开放观景区

The authorised north-side visitor corridor offers distant views of Everest within a highly protected, extremely high-altitude landscape. Visibility is never guaranteed, and permits, shuttles, weather and environmental capacity—not ambition—define how far visitors may go.
