Arrival and transfers+
Confirm that you are going to Nanshan in Longkou, not central Yantai, then arrange transport from the station to the scenic area. The grounds are extensive; check sightseeing vehicles and walking routes rather than estimating time from straight-line map distances.
Choosing accommodation+
Choose accommodation based on your destinations and transport options. Confirm your arrival time and the identity documents required for check-in.

Places to explore in Yantai

Nanshan Scenic Area
南山景区
Yantai’s Nanshan Scenic Area lies in Longkou, with religious culture, architectural displays and leisure spaces forming different visiting themes. Combine the large Buddha and nearby buildings with the cultural park, but consider the steps and distances between sections when assessing your fitness. Reference photographs focus on the religious and historical cultural park, not every leisure or resort activity. Do not confuse this with Nanshan scenic areas in other cities.

Penglai Pavilion–Three Immortals Mountain–Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea Tourism Area
蓬莱阁—三仙山—八仙过海旅游区
This tourism area encompasses Penglai Pavilion, Three Immortals Mountain and Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea. Penglai Pavilion and the Water City offer insight into coastal-defense history and pavilion culture, while the other parks have distinct gardens and mythology-themed displays. They do not share a single admission entrance. Mirages are occasional natural phenomena, not experiences that can be booked or guaranteed. Current reference images show Penglai Pavilion and the Water City coast; galleries for the other two areas are still to be added.
