Jiayuguan Cultural Heritage Scenic Area has three main components: the pass fortress, the First Beacon Tower of the Great Wall and the Overhanging Great Wall. The fortress walls, gates and towers illustrate the layout of the western-end pass of the Ming Great Wall.
