Jinshanling Great Wall
金山岭长城
Jinshanling Great Wall follows mountain ridges, with watchtowers, walls and rolling terrain forming defensive architecture to observe on foot. Stay within sections open that day; not every distant wall in a photograph is an accessible route. Autumn colors and dawn or dusk lighting result from season, weather and shooting conditions together.
Chengde Mountain Resort and Outlying Temples Scenic Area
承德避暑山庄及周围寺庙景区
Chengde Mountain Resort comprises palaces and landscaped lakes, plains and hills. Together with the outlying temples, it reflects Qing imperial architecture and the history of cultural exchange. The grounds are extensive: select key routes through the palaces and lake area rather than assuming all surrounding temples are subsidiary sites within walking distance inside the resort. These historical photographs mainly cover the resort; temple tickets and visits require separate checking.
