Beihai Park
Beihai Park is an imperial garden organised around a broad lake west of Jingshan. Jade Islet and the White Pagoda form its best-known silhouette, while painted corridors, temple compounds, rockeries and quieter northern-bank gardens reward a slower circuit. The park shows how water, islands and borrowed views were composed across successive dynasties.

Getting there
Beihai North station is convenient for the north side; the south and east gates connect more naturally with Jingshan and the Forbidden City area.
Practical notes
The park and its enclosed scenic courtyards may keep different hours, and some interior sites close on Mondays. Decide whether you want a lakeside walk, heritage interiors or a boat trip before choosing the gate and ticket.
