Dujiangyan Irrigation System
The Dujiangyan Irrigation System is a living hydraulic landscape begun in the third century BCE and still used to manage the Min River and distribute water across the Chengdu Plain. Yuzui, Feishayan and Baopingkou demonstrate how topography, channels and seasonal flow were used instead of a conventional blocking dam, while temples and mountain paths preserve the memory of its builders.

High-speed rail or metro-plus-local transport can reach Dujiangyan, but station names and final transfers differ. Confirm the exact entrance and return service before leaving Chengdu.
Practical notes
The complete circuit includes stairs, bridges and exposed riverside paths. Wear suitable shoes, monitor weather and water conditions, and do not assume Mount Qingcheng can be fully added to the same day.
