华清宫
Huaqing Palace
Huaqing Palace occupies hot-spring grounds beneath Mount Li with layers of imperial resort history, Tang court memory and twentieth-century political events. Archaeological bathing remains and the landscape associated with Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei sit beside sites connected with the 1936 Xi'an Incident, requiring visitors to separate history from later romance and performance.

Getting there
The site is in Lintong, east of central Xi'an, and can be paired geographically with the Terracotta Army only with enough time and a clear transfer plan.
Practical notes
Day admission, evening performances and Mount Li access are separate decisions. Verify the official schedule and return transport, and do not let a performance booking compress the archaeological visit.
