Jingjiang Princes' City and Solitary Beauty Peak
Jingjiang Princes' City was the Ming-dynasty residence of the Jingjiang princely line, built around the abrupt Solitary Beauty Peak in central Guilin. Surviving walls, gateways, institutional reuse and inscriptions connect imperial administration with the city's karst setting. The peak climb gives a compact overview of how historic Guilin developed among isolated limestone hills.

The precinct is walkable from central lakes and pedestrian streets. Use the official entrance and check whether visits are self-guided or grouped at the time.
Practical notes
The peak stairs are steep and can close in bad weather. Separate historical interpretation from staged visitor activities, and allow time for inscriptions and walls rather than climbing only for the view.
