Jinsha Site Museum
Jinsha Site Museum preserves an archaeological site within the modern city and presents the ritual life, craft and environment of the ancient Shu civilisation. The Excavation Hall keeps remains visible where they were found, while the Exhibition Hall explains objects such as gold, jade, bronze and ivory in context. Together they make the museum much more than a display of isolated treasures.

Getting there
The museum is west of the centre; metro and a short walk are usually simplest.
Practical notes
Allow time for both principal halls and the landscaped grounds. Advance booking rules can change; verify the museum notice and begin with the archaeological remains before viewing selected objects. Do not plan Jinsha and Sanxingdui as if they were adjacent—the latter is a separate excursion outside central Chengdu.
