Li River Scenic Route
The Li River corridor carries Guilin's tower karst south through farming villages toward Yangshuo. Isolated limestone peaks, cliff faces, shoals and reflections change with water level and weather, producing a moving landscape rather than one fixed viewpoint. Scheduled cruises, shorter bamboo-raft sections and shore walks are different experiences and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Full cruises usually depart from piers outside central Guilin and end near Yangshuo, requiring pre-arranged transfer to the pier and onward plans after arrival. Confirm the exact terminal, vessel and luggage rules.
Practical notes
Water level, fog, storms and flood controls can alter routes. Book through a licensed operator, verify inclusions, protect against sun and rain, and do not assume a return to the original pier.
