泰山红门登山线
Mount Tai Red Gate Pilgrimage Route
The historic central route climbs through temples, gates, stone inscriptions and old trees from the Red Gate toward Zhongtianmen, the Eighteen Bends and Nantianmen. It makes Mount Tai's cultural and natural values inseparable: the ascent records imperial movement, religious practice, literary response and generations of ordinary pilgrims. Thousands of steps and substantial elevation gain make it a demanding mountain journey, not a symbolic city walk.

Getting there
Reach the Red Gate by city bus, taxi or walking from the northern urban area. This is the designated walking route; vehicle approaches use other entrances and should not be confused with it.
Practical notes
Reserve through official channels, start within your fitness limits and keep enough energy for descent. In ice, lightning, heavy rain or crowd controls, follow closures; do not climb barriers or enter unmanaged side paths.
