Saint Sophia Church and Architectural Art Museum
Saint Sophia's large green dome and red-brick mass record the Orthodox communities that emerged with Harbin's railway-era growth. After conservation, the former church became an architectural art museum rather than an active parish. Its interior photographs and city-building material help place the monument within a wider landscape of railway offices, synagogues, commercial blocks and homes created by Chinese and migrant communities.

Getting there
Metro Line 2 to Shangzhidajie or buses to the Sophia Square area are convenient. Walk from Central Street, but allow extra time on icy pavements.
Practical notes
Check whether the interior museum or a concert is operating; the plaza alone is not the full visit. Use a wide-angle lens respectfully, avoid blocking entrances and protect batteries from severe cold.
