Sun Island Scenic Area
Sun Island is a broad river-island landscape of wetlands, woodland, gardens and cultural facilities on the north bank of the Songhua River. It offers a green summer counterpoint to central Harbin and hosts major snow-sculpture activity in winter, but those seasonal products are not interchangeable with the year-round park. Its scale explains the river's role in the city's ecology, recreation and north-bank development.

Metro Line 2 serves Sun Island. Confirm the correct exit and internal route because the scenic area is much larger than a single photo stop; river transport is seasonal.
Practical notes
Choose a realistic zone rather than crossing the entire island. Check mosquito, heat and storm conditions in summer; in winter confirm snow-event dates, warming facilities and frostbite risk.
