Suzhou Creek Urban Walk
A walk along Suzhou Creek reveals Shanghai through bridges, warehouses, apartment buildings and newly connected public waterfronts. The lower creek near Waibaidu Bridge and the Postal Museum is dense with modern urban history, while upstream sections show how infrastructure and industrial land have been converted into everyday public space.

Getting there
Choose a defined section rather than trying to follow the entire creek. East Nanjing Road, Tiantong Road and several upstream stations can serve as starting or ending points.
Practical notes
Some banks require bridge detours and construction can change access. Walk in daylight for architecture, carry sun or rain protection, and avoid isolated stretches late at night.
