Xixi National Wetland Park
Xixi is a large urban wetland landscape of waterways, ponds, reed beds, orchards, villages and cultural traditions west of central Hangzhou. Water covers much of the area, supporting varied habitats while preserving traces of fishing, silk production, seasonal festivals and waterside settlement. Its scale and quiet rhythm offer a strong ecological counterpoint to West Lake.

Several metro stops and entrances serve different sectors. Choose the east, north or Hongyuan area before travelling rather than relying on a generic park pin.
Practical notes
Walking circuits, electric boats and rowing boats offer different experiences and costs. Check seasonal last entry and weather, bring insect and sun protection, and do not disturb birds or enter closed habitat areas.
