Yellow Emperor Mausoleum Scenic Area

Download poster

The Yellow Emperor Mausoleum on Qiaoshan in Huangling is an important traditional site for honoring Xuanyuan, the Yellow Emperor. Xuanyuan Temple, ceremonial spaces, ancient cypress woods and the mausoleum area form the visit. Architectural layouts and inscriptions offer insight into ritual traditions. Legends associated with the Yellow Emperor are cultural narratives and should be distinguished from verifiable buildings and historical evidence.

Getting there

After reaching Huangling County, travel to the reception area and check walking or shuttle arrangements between the temple and Qiaoshan mausoleum sections. Do not plan Huangling and central Yan’an as the same place.

Practical notes

Ceremonies may affect entrances and routes; check ahead. Protect ancient cypresses and inscriptions. Do not carve marks, climb or break branches. This set of reference images mainly shows the temple and ceremonial buildings.
