Three Gorges Grand Waterfall Tourism Area
The Three Gorges Grand Waterfall features a tall curtain of water and canyon streams. Walking toward the main waterfall reveals changes in the water as it passes rock faces, shallow pools and woodland. Spray is heavier near the falls, making a slower pace advisable. Geological and local cultural landscapes also feature in the area; follow the routes actually open on site.

Getting there
Travel from central Yichang to the entrance in Huanghua Town, Yiling District, then follow signs into the walking area. Confirm return transport and shuttles beforehand. The parking area is not the main waterfall itself.

Wear non-slip shoes and bring a raincoat and waterproof bags for electronics. Do not cross barriers or enter river channels. Participate in experiences such as passing behind the waterfall only when permitted and conditions are suitable. Water volume and visual effects vary with seasons and weather.
