彩石溪与桃花峪
Caishixi and Taohuayu Valley
The western valley route emphasises forest, streams and exposed multicoloured rock rather than the monumental stairway of the central ascent. Caishixi helps visitors see the mountain as a geological and ecological system, while managed stops make it suitable for a slower half-day. Water level, vegetation, shuttle operation and path access vary by season, so it should not be marketed as a guaranteed waterfall experience.

Use the official Taohuayu entrance and currently operating scenic transport. Confirm whether intermediate stops permit boarding and alighting and how the return connection works.
Practical notes
Wear non-slip shoes, keep out of stream channels during rain and do not collect rock or plants. Check fire-prevention and flood closures, especially outside the main tourist season.
