Mordaoga National Forest Park
Mordaoga protects a northern Greater Khingan forest landscape of larch, birch, river valleys and changing autumn colour. Visitor roads and rail-style experiences reveal only selected parts of a much larger working and protected forest. Its history includes forestry as well as conservation, so interpretation should consider both human use and ecosystem recovery rather than presenting the trees as untouched wilderness.

Getting there
The park requires a long road journey from Erguna or Hailar. Use a well-maintained authorised vehicle, refuel early and confirm the active gate and return schedule.
Practical notes
Obey all fire restrictions, carry no flame into the forest and remain on open routes. Prepare for insects and abrupt cold, and do not collect plants, fungi or wood without permission.
