Qinghai Provincial Museum
The provincial museum connects prehistoric archaeology, exchange across the plateau and Hexi corridors, regional religious art, material culture and the modern history of Qinghai. Pottery, metalwork, textiles and site evidence replace the vague idea of an isolated plateau with a long record of movement and contact. It is the best place to build a chronology before visiting monasteries, archaeological landscapes or pastoral regions elsewhere in the province.

Use city buses or a short walk from central Chengxi transit stops. Parking is limited, so public transport is preferable and the active visitor entrance should be checked in advance.

Use only the museum's official reservation channels and avoid paid third-party ticket claims. Start with archaeology, read object dates closely and avoid flash, tripods or selfie sticks where restricted.
