Yubeng Village and Open Trails
Yubeng is a living Tibetan village beneath the Meili range and a base for strenuous routes toward waterfalls, glacial valleys and high lakes. Farming, pastoral work, pilgrimage and tourism share narrow paths and limited waste and water systems. Route popularity does not make the terrain easy: every excursion needs a current opening check, daylight margin, suitable footwear and a decision to turn around before altitude, storms or fatigue become emergencies.

Reach the current transfer point by authorised vehicle and use only approved village access transport or trails. Confirm the last transfer and never assume a private car can reach accommodation.
Practical notes
Choose routes according to acclimatisation, weather and fitness rather than social media. Carry out waste, ask before photographing homes, keep livestock paths clear and never enter closed glacier or sacred areas.
