五彩滩

The wind-eroded colorful rock hills form a sharp geological contrast with the poplar forests on the other side of the Irtysh River. The landscape is fragile and the sunset is densely populated, so the suitable viewing space is within the boardwalk and fence.

黄果树瀑布群

Huangguoshu is a waterfall system formed by rivers and karst, rather than a single frontal viewing point. The Great Falls, Tianxing Bridge and Doupo Pond respectively present different relationships between water flow, limestone, caves and vegetation; water mist, queues, water levels and one-way flow lines will all affect the experience.

橘子洲

Orange Isle is a long sandbar in the Xiang River, closely associated with Mao Zedong's poem 'Changsha'. A large sculpture of the young Mao stands near its tip and is one of the city's best-known landmarks. Metro Line 2 serves the island; check current access and shuttle arrangements, especially during holidays.

黄河源开放科普区域

The Zhaling Lake-Eling Lake system is a key area in the upper reaches of the Yellow River in Sanjiangyuan National Park. The core area is not an ordinary tourist destination. Only approved routes and currently open science areas can be used. Wetland and wildlife protection takes priority over sightseeing.

太阳岛风景区

Sun Island is located on the north bank of the Songhua River. It is a large-scale river island landscape composed of wetlands, woodlands, gardens and cultural facilities. It is a green space outside the central city in summer and hosts important snow sculpture activities in winter, but seasonal products cannot be confused with year-round parks; the broad scale also helps understand the role of Songhua River in urban ecology, leisure and Jiangbei development.

开封城墙

The main body of the existing city wall belongs to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is a layer of the city that was repeatedly buried and rebuilt after the Yellow River floods. Gates, walls and archaeological evidence illustrate how later defensive structures were superimposed on earlier capital layers. A short walk will help you understand the "city on top of the city", but it cannot be directly called the original city wall of Tokyo City in the Northern Song Dynasty.

中山桥

Zhongshan Bridge, "the No. 1 bridge on the Yellow River in the world", was built in 1907 by the German Tellai Company and designed by an American company. It was completed in 1909. In 1928, it was renamed Zhongshan Bridge in commemoration of Sun Yat-sen. In 2004, it was changed to a pedestrian bridge. Take Exit D of Xiguan Station of Metro Line 1 and walk about 600 meters to get there.

壶口瀑布

Hukou Falls is formed by the Yellow River's sharp convergence in a narrow rock trough. The water volume, color, ice and open platforms continue to change. The water here is strong, the rock surface is slippery and may be eroded. You must view it from a managed viewing area and adjust your itinerary in the event of flooding, ice or strong wind closures.

怒江第一湾与雾里村古道

The first bay of the Nujiang River shows the large rotation of the river around the mountain, and the nearby road leading to Wuli Village preserves fragments of the Ancient Tea Horse Road. Viewpoints, narrow historic roads and inhabited villages are spaces with varying boundaries of risk and privacy.

雅鲁藏布大峡谷

The Yarlung Zangbo River turns around the Namjagbarwa Peak, forming one of the deepest river canyon systems in the world, compressing huge changes in altitude, climate and vegetation in a short distance. The open viewing points and village stations only show accessible entrance sections, and the remote inner canyon is not an ordinary hiking destination. The scale of rivers, tectonic relief and inhabited river valley landscapes are more important than superlative slogans or a single photo of a snowy mountain.

洛阳桥

Luoyang Bridge Luoyang Bridge is located at the junction of Wan'an Street in Luojiang District and Luoyang Town in Hui'an County. It was built in 1053 in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is the earliest existing cross-sea stone bridge in China. It is also known as the four ancient bridges in China along with Marco Polo Bridge, Guangji Bridge and Zhaozhou Bridge. Its most famous "black technology" is "growing oysters to consolidate the foundation" - raising oysters on the bridge foundation and using oyster shells to cement the scattered stones together. 黄鹤楼

The Yellow Crane Tower is the most famous literary landmark in Wuhan. It has been destroyed and rebuilt many times during the changes in the city and the river bank. The current building was built on the new site of Snake Mountain in the 20th century, using modern architecture to interpret the older famous buildings and poetic traditions. Its value lies in connecting literary memory, the reconstruction process and the panoramic view of the Yangtze River, the bridge and the three towns.

三峡大坝旅游区

The Three Gorges Dam tourist area explains the scale of the project, navigation and power generation functions through controlled observation decks and displays. This is an important infrastructure for real-name reservations and border security, not a dam where you can walk freely.

黄河源头区域

The source area of the Yellow River is located in the high-altitude wetland system of Sanjiangyuan National Park, where ecological protection zoning and approved routes take precedence over tourists' desires to get closer to the source. Core areas such as Zhaling Lake and Eling Lake cannot be entered at will, and should be limited to the official science popularization and viewing areas.

白塔山公园

Baita Mountain is adjacent to the north bank of the Yellow River, with temples, courtyards, mountain roads and urban viewing spots superimposed above the Zhongshan Bridge. Climbing up can intuitively understand Lanzhou's restricted geography: the city stretches along the river, and dry mountains approach from both sides. Historic buildings are important, but observing bridges, mesas, and urban expansion as the altitude changes is the core experience.

武汉长江大桥

The Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge was opened to traffic in 1957. The upper deck is for traffic and the lower deck is for railways. It is the first fixed channel for the Yangtze River in Wuhan. It physically connects the three towns and reshapes the north-south transportation across the country. Observing from the surrounding mountains, ferries and river banks, one can often better understand the engineering and urban scale than walking long distances along the traffic flow.

三峡人家

The scenic spot combines the Xiling Gorge riverside cliffs and tributary trails with displays of Tujia culture. Ferry transfers and slippery steep roads dictate passage, and performance programs cannot be equated with the totality of contemporary community life.

兰州水车博览园

The Waterwheel Expo Park displays the large wooden waterwheel that was used to lift water from the Yellow River to the shore for irrigation canals. Restoration Machinery illustrates how water flow, blades, flumes, and gravity work together to support farmland and urban settlements in arid environments. See it as a practical water conservancy technology rather than a decorative riverfront landscape to understand its true value.

三游洞

Sanyou Cave is located on the limestone cliff at the mouth of Xiling Gorge, connected with literati and inscriptions from past dynasties. The visit connects literary memories, stone carving texts and the geography of the river gorge, but you need to be extra cautious on the cliff steps on rainy days.

长江三峡

The Three Gorges of the Yangtze River is a long-distance cultural landscape composed of canyon landforms, shipping, water conservancy projects, relocation heritage and riverside communities. Different rules apply to cruise ships, highways and shore scenic spots. Water levels and weather will also change the experience. Natural gorges, engineering facilities and performative displays should be distinguished.
