雷峰塔景区

Leifeng Pagoda is located in Xizhao Mountain on the south bank of West Lake. It is an important component of the traditional famous scenery of West Lake. The current building protects the ruins of the old pagoda while providing an elevated perspective on the relationship between the lake, embankments and surrounding mountains; its cultural influence also comes from the long-standing legend of the White Snake.

圣·索菲亚教堂

The huge green dome and red brick volume of St. Sophia Church record the formation of the Orthodox community in Harbin with the development of the railway era. After conservation and restoration, the original church became an architectural art museum instead of a parish church that is still in use. The photos and urban construction materials in the museum help visitors understand it within the historical landscape composed of railway institutions, synagogues, commercial blocks, and Chinese and foreign residential buildings.

西递

Xidi preserves a dense collection of streets, ancestral hall spaces, and decorative dwellings shaped by the wealth of clans and Huizhou merchants. Understanding the inscriptions, spatial hierarchy and water management is more meaningful than just collecting photos of the gatehouse.

繁塔

Fan Pagoda was built in the 10th century and is one of the earliest existing buildings in Kaifeng. Only the lower part of the original tower is preserved today. The outer wall is densely covered with glazed bricks with Buddha statues, forming a dense religious surface that is different from the later iron towers. The altered contours directly reveal the damage and reconstruction, rather than diminishing its value.

云南省博物馆

The Yunnan Provincial Museum provides a global context for understanding diverse Yunnan travel. The archeology of Yunnan culture, Buddhist art, bronzes, ceramics, textiles and ethnic collections present the connections between the plateau, southwest China and Southeast Asia; large modern exhibition halls are suitable for establishing a framework before traveling to various ancient cities and natural areas.

甘肃省博物馆

The Gansu Provincial Museum displays a region connecting the Central Plains, the Tibetan Plateau, the northern grasslands and Central Asia. Prehistoric painted pottery, Silk Road cultural relics, Buddhist art, paleontological fossils and the famous bronze galloping horse have put Lanzhou into a long communication network. The scope of the collection is so vast that it’s difficult to understand if you check in hastily. Prioritizing the archeology and Silk Road exhibition halls can create a clearer narrative than chasing all the star cultural relics.

大昭寺与八廓街

The Jokhang Temple is the spiritual core of Lhasa and an important component of the world heritage complex. The barracks surrounding the temple are not only a clockwise pilgrimage route, but also a market, residential area and daily public space. Its significance comes from the worship and community life that continues to this day, not just the historical facade. When visiting, the temple, prayer route and surrounding lanes should be viewed as a living cultural landscape, while leaving space for pilgrims and respecting the privacy of residents.

白沙古镇与白沙壁画

Baisha is an earlier settlement among the world heritage sites of Lijiang Ancient City, located at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The religious buildings preserve murals that have been gradually formed since the 13th century, integrating Buddhism, Taoism, Naxi and other local image traditions, reflecting cultural exchanges; the surrounding residences and fields retain a smaller-scale settlement pattern than Dayan.

龙门石窟

More than 2,000 caves and niches are spread out along the limestone cliffs of the Yihe River. The most intensive excavation period lasted from the late Northern Wei Dynasty to the prosperous Tang Dynasty. The early works reflect the changes in palace status after the capital was moved to Luoyang, while Fengxian Temple represents the mature royal scale and shape of the Tang Dynasty. The inscriptions, donors and medicinal prescriptions make this place a record of society and belief, rather than just a string of giant Buddhas.

中山陵

The Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum forms a formal axis along the Zhongshan Mountain through archways, tomb passages, wide steps and sacrificial halls. Built during the Republic of China, it combines modern public memorial architecture with traditional Chinese forms; the long ascent, scale changes, and views back to Nanjing together constitute a preset ritual process.

平遥县衙

Pingyao County Government retains the spatial logic of traditional local government: ceremonial gates and courtyards lead to the trial and administrative halls, with clerical, residential and prison areas at the rear. The building separates public power, official work and private life. Exhibitions are helpful for understanding the system, but the restored scenes should be read in conjunction with the real pattern.

青岛德国总督楼旧址博物馆

The Governor's Building was built from 1903 to 1907. It is located on the signal hillside with its stone, asymmetrical volume and exquisite interior decoration. Subsequent use by political figures added new historical layers. The building was used to demonstrate colonial power, and the materials and room sequences preserved today also illustrate elite residential technology of the time.

洛阳桥

Luoyang Bridge Luoyang Bridge is located at the junction of Wan'an Street in Luojiang District and Luoyang Town in Hui'an County. It was built in 1053 in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is the earliest existing cross-sea stone bridge in China. It is also known as the four ancient bridges in China along with Marco Polo Bridge, Guangji Bridge and Zhaozhou Bridge. Its most famous "black technology" is "growing oysters to consolidate the foundation" - raising oysters on the bridge foundation and using oyster shells to cement the scattered stones together. 龙华寺与龙华塔

Longhua Temple and the seven-story Longhua Pagoda together constitute an important Buddhist historical space in Shanghai. The existing tower retains the architectural features of the Song Dynasty. 兰亭

Lanting is located at the foot of Lanzhu Mountain about 13 kilometers southwest of Shaoxing City. It is famous all over the world because Wang Xizhi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty wrote the "Preface to the Lanting Collection", "the best running script in the world" here. It is a pilgrimage place for calligraphy lovers. The scenic spot is famous for the Chinese garden aesthetics of lush forests and bamboos and winding water bottles. The core attractions include Echi ("Echi" monument of father and son), Lanting Stele Pavilion (Kangxi imperial pen), winding water bottle ruins, Wang Youjun Temple, Imperial Stele Pavilion (the same stele for the ancestors of Kangxi and Qianlong), Linchi Eighteen Tanks, Tianzhang Temple Ruins and Lanting Calligraphy Museum.

华侨城创意文化园

南普陀寺

重庆抗战遗址博物馆

The Chongqing Anti-Japanese War Relics Museum protects the buildings and sites related to Chongqing as the wartime capital during the Anti-Japanese War. The remains of official residences, offices and diplomatic activities scattered among the forested mountains add to the history of the Anti-Japanese War outside the air-raid shelters in the central city from the perspectives of political decision-making, international exchanges and citizen persistence.
